Mr. & Mrs. Prevette:
Beach Wedding in Nags Head, NC
Madison and Justin's Wedding a week ago in Nags Head, NC was one I'll never forget! I've been looking forward to this wedding since Madison reached out to me. I met Madison when I shot her Hannah's wedding, where she was maid of honor. Hannah got to return the favor because she was one of Matrons of Honor for Madison, I love seeing past clients at weddings!
Madison & Justin met through mutual friends almost four years ago. Madison said Justin first told her loved her after pulling her out in the rain, seriously romantic! Their love for each other proved even more true on their wedding day, watching them together. Madison had her heart set on a beach wedding, as you do when you book a wedding at the beach. Unfortunately, a cold front was coming through, the temperatures were around 30 degrees with a winder advisory. Justin was out there digging in the sand the night before so they could have their walkway to the beach.
Let's just talk about how he proposed, he really planned it out! Justin told Madison they were visiting a Vineyard for a friend's birthday party, poor Madison was trying to be an early bird. Little did she know, Justin was intentionally making her late because they were planning a surprise engagement party and not everyone had arrived yet! Madison arrived to the party a little frustrated because Justin made her late. When they arrived they said for everyone to put their name on a ticket and place it in a drawing for a free wine bottle. About 15 minutes later, wouldn't you know it they call Madison's name, she won! She was so shocked that she had won, she didn't pay attention to the bottle. Her friends yelled to her to look down at the bottle, it said "Will you Marry me?" She turned around to find Justin on one knee. After she said yes (obviously) they shared a dance to "Forever After All" sang by Tatum Scott. THE SWEETEST.
We spent most of the day indoors, the condo they rented was three stories with plenty of room for their closest family and friends. Their ceremony was moved indoors in the condo, but if you look through the window you can see the ocean in the distance. The views without the cold, although I did convince them to go outside for a few photos! Jocko, their dog, was able to join them on their day too. He is the best boy and it only made sense for him to be a part of Madison & Justin's day. We ended our day at Jockey's Ridge, which may have been my favorite part. Although, I know we were freezing, Madison still looked absolutely stunning while she shivered in her wedding dress! My associate photographer, Anna, made sure per the groomsmen's request we didn't forget to ice Justin one last time at the dunes, which made for a pretty epic photo! If I remember correctly, Justin was iced not once, not twice, but SEVEN times!
Madison & Justin, I am so thrilled I was there to photograph your favorite day yet. Thank you so, so much for your trust in me and for your kindness. Your joy is contagious and was felt by all the friends and family there to witness. Cheers to many, many more years of happiness!
